Modis has an immediate need for an experienced Web Development Technical Lead in Information Systems on the eBusiness team.
Responsibilities-
Act as technical lead, overseeing the work of a team of offshore technical team members responsible for the development, unit/integration testing and implementation of business solutions.

Analyze business requirements and develop design specifications for strategic business solutions of moderate to high complexity.

Oversee the writing of system code components according to design specifications.

Manage the design and implementation of all necessary technical environments, including, but not limited to development, test and production.

Work with business unit to analyze and resolve system defects.

Balance complex business and technical issues to develop effective business/systems solutions.

Produce comprehensive documentation for the business solution developed.

Assume the role of mentor, teacher, and advisor responsible for developing more junior staff members.

Provide off-hour systems support.

Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience: Required: –
Minimum 6 years of progressive project experience with analysis, systems design, code development and system testing.

Minimum 4 years experience managing a team of developers.
Solid leadership skills, including the ability to develop junior staff, delegate structured assignments, monitor the progress of others, and provide feedback.

Minimum 6 years experience in all or most of the following areas: o VB.net o ASP.net o MS SQL stored procedures (TSQL) with SQL Server 2000/2003/2008o Software design skills on UI, .
NET, SQL o XML/XSD o SOAP Web Services o SOA

1. 2 o AJAX o WCF Web Services o Javascripto Clearcase- Ability to allocate time efficiently; handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
- Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget and meet quality targets.
- Strong knowledge of structured analysis and design techniques.
Includes strong understanding of design and development tools, methodologies and techniques and how emerging technologies can be applied.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to prepare schedules and communicate status of the overall development effort.
- Solid diagnostic, analytical and problem solving skills, and strong conceptual skills.
- Strong written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Have: – Knowledge of annuity products and annuity business operations and challenges.
- Previous experience managing offshore technical resources.
- Any of the following: ? MCAD – Microsoft Certified Application Developer ? MCPD – Microsoft Certified Professional Developer ? MCSD – Microsoft Certified Solution Developer for Microsoft .
NET- Experience with web applications, web architecture and Content Management systems.
- Experience with Web Services and Biztalk.
- Experience/training in Project Management (PMP).
