IT/Networking – Systems Engineer (Your Home -> Customer Site)

As a Systems Engineer, you would use your technical skills to design, install, support, and proactively manage networks for clients. With a mix of remote and onsite engagement a Systems Engineer is responsible for the overall performance of the clients IT infrastructure. We are looking for a remote/onsite technician for a growing IT company supporting small businesses. This position will be based from your home, but will require travel onsite to customers.

Responsibilities:
·To deliver multi-tier technical support on problems ranging from account problems, VPN support to Exchange Server re-configuration within our managed corporate environments.
·Maintain maximum availability to answer incoming support requests, documenting the issue fully in the ticketing system as it’s resolved. Requests are submitted through multiple channels.
·Troubleshoot & make recommendations on Workstation inquiries/problems (we support Microsoft and Apple).
·Ability to work in a high energy and dynamic environment.
·To effectively communicate service outages internally & externally, to escalate tickets appropriately.
·Ownership of tickets as they arise and flow through the system. To confirm completion.
·Maintain personal ticket work queue, ensuring tickets are updated on a daily basis to achieve productivity to both client and Altuscio.
·Strong fundamental troubleshooting skills and the ability to apply those skills to assist troubleshooting on a wide range of information systems and applications.
·Provide after-hours and weekend support on a rotational basis.

Desired Qualifications:
·Current MCSE 2003/2008 certification OR equivalent experience/knowledge
·Minimum of 2-3 years of field experience
·Excellent communication skills
·Must be self-motivated
·Excellent problem solving skills
·Impeccable work record required
·Reliable transportation and insurable driving record

Desired Technical Knowledge:
·Extensive knowledge of PC hardware and software
·Expert ability in Windows operating systems (2000 / Windows XP / Vista / Windows 7)
·Ability to manage wide variety of printers
·Expert knowledge of server operating systems (Windows 2003 / Windows 2008)
·Complete understanding of LAN / WAN technologies
·Ability to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot e-mail systems (Exchange 2003/2007/2010)

Senior Engineer, Messaging Services (Atlanta, GA)

Job Summary:
Under general direction, as a top level contributor, independently designs, tests, implements, troubleshoots and maintains Messaging (Unified or otherwise) architectures to include hardware platforms, client applications, server services and operating systems. Advises management on new direction of Messaging infrastructure, as it applies to local, regional and global operations. Analyzes current enterprise and makes recommendations for capacity planning and performance tuning based on corporate goals and alignments. Partners with architecture group on client-server infrastructure design issues. Provides 3rd or 4th level support for Email/Messaging and relative subcomponents. Evaluates, tests and makes recommendations on new/upgrades to hardware, OS, network and applications and their impact on existing system configurations. Independently researches and resolves moderately to highly complex technical problems. Documents standards, implementation procedures, and troubleshooting processes. May act as project manager on one or more projects.

NOTE: The team works within a fast-paced environment to provide real-time project level support and support for system issues. This is a key position which requires the skills of an architect, project manager, and systems administrator as well as the patience and tact of a good customer service representative. This position requires extensive collaboration with teammates, other business units, IT management and vendors. Must have good communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment.

Essential Job Functions Include:
- Email and Messaging ownership and accountability for uptime and performance
- Provides specialized enterprise level support and management for Microsoft Exchange, Lync Blackberry Enterprise Server, Faxination and associated messaging technologies, including remote IT sites for the Windows Messaging environments
- Designs, tests, implements, troubleshoots and maintains Messaging architecture and components to include related applications, services, performance technologies and health/risk assessments as it applies to enterprise infrastructure
- Designs, tests, implements, troubleshoots and maintains corporate Messaging structures
- Analyzes current enterprise and makes recommendations for capacity planning, performance tuning and design issues
- Design, develop, and articulate solutions based on a strategic business or technical requirements
- Work with business partners to translate customer requirements and recommend system solutions and formulate detailed specifications, including architecture and costs
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure engineered solutions are aligned to company standards
- Lead the implementation with responsibility for the delivery of the technical architecture designs, strategies, and quality assurance plans that will be delivered
- Work closely with Project Managers and Program Managers in the design, development, and implementation of the technical content defined in the Statement of Work
- Act as a project manager on multiple complex projects, responsible for driving multiple projects and phases of a project to completion
- Create project status reports and accurately track/manage project issues and risks
- Prepares recurring analysis reports on capacity, health, new issues and resolved issues
- Maintain regular communication with management to update them on project status and critical fault resolution progress
- Provide System Architecture strategy and roadmaps for Messaging infrastructure
- Provide Architecture Design and support for Corporate Infrastructure and Client facing solutions
- Evangelizing ITISS strategy within business and management
- Design and maintain system security
- Develop and implement business solutions using Powershell, VBScripts, GPO’s, etc. . .
- Independently researches and resolves highly complex technical problems
- Document infrastructure, standards/process, implementation procedures and troubleshooting processes
- Maintains current patches, updates and versions for responsible architectures and applications
- Enforce Windows Server administration standards, policies and guidelines and develop and implement them as the needs are identified and prioritized
- Mentor and train level I, II and III Engineers in Exchange and Messaging architectures, including troubleshooting, resolving and providing root analysis for issues
- Troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange issues and escalate as required
- Maintain continuously updated documentation of Exchange, Messaging and Communications environment in order to facilitate the support and improvement of the platform
- Participate in the selection of services and products from a variety of vendors
- Work may extend beyond normal business operating hours

Qualifications:
- Min 5-8 years experience with administering and maintaining Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010 Messaging Environments
- Min 5 years experience troubleshooting Windows server services and components
- Min 5 years experience with Enterprise Server Class Hardware
- Min 3 years experience with Windows clustering technologies
- Ability to evaluate application architecture and its implications to windows infrastructure
- Broad understanding of all major Windows Infrastructure components
- Detailed knowledge on Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007 environments
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Outlook 2007+
- Detailed knowledge in Windows Client and Server Architecture
- Knowledge of Windows Server 2003 / 2008 R2 Standard/Enterprise
- Knowledge of security around Message applications and architectures, including but not limited to email, IM, Fax, Live meeting and messaging to mobile devices
- Knowledge of Windows XP / Vista / Windows 7
- Knowledge of Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Lync application, architecture and systems
- 5+ years Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007 design, testing, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance experience
- 5+ years Exchange email architecture experience in a global, multi-site company
- 3+ years project management experience
- Strong documentation skills including experience writing proposals and statements of work
- Must be able to work under pressure and act independently
- Excellent verbal and presentation skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- BA or BS degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent work experience
- MCITP or MCSE Certifications are a plus
- Experience with PCI a plus
- Knowledge of ITIL a plus

Our web development firm is currently seeking a project manager to oversee the development of web sites and web applications. The project manager would be one of the primary contacts between our firm and our clients. He or she would review the work of the developers and ensure the quality of our work product.

Job Duties

- Serve as the liaison between clients and our development team — gather materials, explain the design process, work through the revision process, and perform post-launch duties;

- Help our developers understand the scope of projects and guide them through the development process;

- Review the work of our developers and be sure that all requirements are met;

- Improve work processes.

Required Skills and Experience
