Supplier Quality Engineer Celgard, LLC, www.celgard.com, is a global leader in the development and production of specialty microporous membranes, and is one of the largest suppliers to the lithium battery industry.
Celgard® battery separators are used in disposable and rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for consumer electronic devices such as notebook computers, mobile telephones, digital cameras, and power tools and are emerging in applications including electric drive vehicles and reserve power and electricity grid management systems.
 Job Summary: To prepare for increased capacity we are adding a SupplierQuality Engineer position to the quality team.
This position will be responsible for the incoming quality of direct materials purchased for Celgard.
 Position Responsibilities: Implement effective processes and systems to ensure incoming quality of raw materialPrepare and report supplier quality metric internally and externallyEnsure satisfactory completion of corrective action documentation in a timely mannerDevelop and implement incoming material control schemesMonitor supplier performance, qualification and auditsHelp develop suppliers to become ISO certified or compliant to requirements.
 Qualifications: ·        BS Degree in Engineering or technical field·        3-5 years as a supplier quality engineer in Tier 1 or OEM automotive manufacturing·        Working within ISO9001 QMS (TS16949 preferred) ·        ASQ certification preferred·        Basic knowledge of quality tools and automotive core tools (MSA, PPAP, CPLAN) PFMEA, PSW)·        Problem solving in Six Sigma or Shainin A career at Celgard would provide opportunities for challenge and advancement.
