Function: QRAFamily: Global Trade Operations What Global Trade Operations contributes to Cardinal HealthGlobal Trade Operations is responsible for facilitating compliant and effective international shipments on behalf of the business unit.

Manage the systems infrastructure to support the delivery of products from locations worldwide.

Implement data interfaces with site ERP systems as appropriate to increase efficiency and reduce errors (SAP, PRMS, JD Edwards, Oracle, etc.). Maintain compliance with all import and export procedures and regulations including the Customs Service, Department of Health, Commerce Department, Foreign Governmental Agencies and internal procedures.

Manage resources to support global trade operations.

Provide employee development through training and opportunities to increase their involvement beyond their primary responsibilities.

Identify, prioritize and resolve trade related issues using analytical, legal/technical and managerial skills.

Management of operational costs including freight, duties, IT systems and overhead.

Identify, implement, and maintain classifications and preferential duty programs across assigned business units to reduce overall duty cost.

Accurate implementation of preferential duty programs provides significant annual savings for Cardinal business.

Recognize the differences in port procedures and other agency requirements and manage the differences effectively Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred2-6 years experience5-10 yrs experience directly related to Global TradePrevious supervisory experience strongly recommendedStrong Background in Trade compliance, import /export operations and international logisticsCustoms Broker's Licence highly preferredExperience with international transportation, logistics services and freight payment providers preferred.

Strong knowledge/experience with ocean freight processes, ocean rate structures, consolidation and de-consolidation processes, third party providers and truckload and inter-modal carrier operationsIntermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Access and advanced proficiency in Excel, with ability to understand and evaluate supply chain visibility tools and other Transportation Management Systems.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational and project management skills, along with proven skills in problem solving, decision making and strategic planning Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and facilitation) Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 15%
