NationalNet, a premier expanding web hosting company, is currently looking to fill a new Linux System Administrator position. This position is located at our Network Operations Center in Marietta, Georgia. JOB PURPOSE and RESPONSIBILITIES:
** Support customer requests via phone calls and work orders
** Tasks include (but are not limited to)
- Installing and configuring Apache
- Installing and configuring MySQL
- Installing various programs based on customer requests
- Trouble-shooting problems on Linux servers
- Dealing with hardware issues as they arise
- Dealing with server issues as the monitoring system alerts to them
- Anything else our customers request (which is a wide and interesting set of requests)
REQUIREMENTS:
** 3 years or more of Linux experience
** NOTE: This is NOT a Windows position. Please do not apply if you do not have the appropriate Linux experience.
** 3 years experience or more with the following applications
- MySQL
- Apache 1.x and 2.x
- DNS
- MTA (including Sendmail, Qmail, Postfix and Courier)
- Strong hardware experience including RAID
** Firm grasp of networking concepts
** Previous webhosting experience a plus
** Troubleshooting skills
** Attention to detail
** Customer phone support experience
** Enthusiastic attitude
** Strong work Ethic
** Must be willing to work with customers who own and operate adult oriented web sites.
** Must be at least 21 years of age.
** Must live (or be willing to relocate) in the Greater Atlanta Georgia area.
** Must be available to work all/any shifts
** Must agree to civil and criminal background investigation.
An extended written test will be administered during the initial interview process.
