Financial and Regulatory Reporting Sr. Vice President This position will manage the centralized reporting processes that are performed in a shared services center.
Responsibilities include oversight of financial and regulatory reporting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting and management policies, US GAAP and US regulatory requirements including the Federal Reserve Bank, SEC, and OCC. The unit has responsibility for legal vehicle, regulatory, and financial reporting, internal and external bank examination coordination and ad-hoc functions required financial data.
The position will lead a group of 35+ accountants and liaise with Product and Country Controllers, Senior Management and Technology Groups.
Management of the Financial and US Regulatory Reporting, including consolidations and eliminations Management of internal reporting (statistical and memoranda data required for external disclosures.
Advise Business and Country Controllers current and proposed regulations impact on reporting products and services Partner with Corporate Regulatory Reporting to analyze new and proposed regulations and serve as consultants on implementation Obtain legal opinions from Legal Counsel on impact and interpretation of regulations on reporting Oversee the preparation, analysis and submission of financial and regulatory reports, ensuring data integrity for all disclosures.
Liaise with regulators (FRB, OCC and FDIC) Key Reporting Responsibilities: Report of Condition (balance sheet and income statement) Quarterly Memocables (memoranda and statistical data) Cash Flow Treasury Reporting FAS107 (Fair Value) FAS 157(Fair Value) BASEL Capital Requirements FR2644 – Weekly Call Report FR2900 – Deposits and Vault Cash Call Report (FFIEC Quarterly) Summary of Deposits Other Reports The position will support the initiatives sponsored by the Global Reporting Head, work to strengthen standardization and re-engineering efforts; working with other service centers to standardize processes into a global model.
The position is also responsible for the coordination of risk and control functions as well as internal and external regulatory and financial examinations/reviews.
This role has oversight for staffing plans including talent development and succession plans for all staffing levels; develop training programs for staff update including opportunities for job-rotations.
Additional responsibilities include serving on the Tampa Center Leadership Team, where strategic initiatives are vetted and campus-wide activities are planned.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and CPA are required, solid business foundation in the financial services industry.
Senior manager with at least 10 years of relevant experience, to include in Regulatory and financial reporting, accounting or audit.
Experience in large, complex environments a plus.
Must possess demonstrated leadership in dynamic organizations and the ability to effectively communicate through all levels of the organization.
Extensive experience in working with a variety of financial platforms, as well as the ability to manage in a shared service environment that may include off shoring of certain functions.
Hands-on, operationally oriented and demonstrated ability to manage in a complex and dynamic environment.
Reporting responsibilities to a variety of corporate and business constituents.
Must be comfortable in a matrix-management environment and possess the ability to simultaneously handle significan’t department and corporate initiatives.
Leadership and team building skills are vital and must have the ability to guide a large and diverse staff through change management initiatives.
Self-motivated and ability to make decisions, creativity and attention to detail are essential.
