Responsible for all aspects of financials for three divisions and consolidation: Manage monthly close process (5 day close cycle) from reviewing journal entries to reporting income statement, balance sheet and cash flow to management Manage accounting audits (quarterly bank audits and two annual external audits) Contribute towards the development of the annual budget and best estimates including summary financial data, trends, variance analysis and commentary Act as consultative partner with Marketing team regarding financial matters Accountable for all aspects of inventory: Streamline inventory process through automation Review inventory reconciliations (monthly) Analyze standard versus actual inventory cost to highlight anomalies (monthly) Review and distribute monthly reports on damaged, donated, dumped and closeout inventory (monthly) Develop a model to report on inventory turns (monthly) Review obsolete and surplus inventory and adjust reserves accordingly (monthly) Report on in transit inventory to bank (weekly)Enhance reporting capabilities: Develop Brand level P&Ls and other reports leveraging Access, Excel and Oracle to provide management with better visibility into results Construct model for reporting working capital metrics Enhance existing Board Packages and provide value added analysis of results Develop monthly reporting package for review with Marketing Skill Set Required: Ability to effectively manage and develop people Strong knowledge of finance, accounting and cost control principles; including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Self starter who has the ability to work with little supervision Ability to develop queries in Access; write Access reports; export data from Access into Excel; construct analytical models with the information Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections Knack for identifying and understanding the implications of anomalies in financial data Detail oriented Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Oracle, Oracle Discover, and/or SQL Management Reports Ability to work under pressure and on multiple projects concurrently Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills Strong written and oral communication skills Flexibility in work schedule
