Responsibilities: · Excellent communicate skills, the candidate will maintain effective working relationships with the business, product developers, other technical stakeholders, and related support groups · Management of production environment and applications to ensure high performance and availability · Identifying and developing improvements and enhancements to existing support processes and procedures · Problem solving technical issues and proactively implementing preventative measures · Establishment of the relevant reporting and monitoring functions for production systems · Planning, co-ordination and execution of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for production systems · Pro-active analysis of production applications and defect prevention for system releases · Provide routine application maintenance and assist with advanced configuration work · Incident management, resolution and reporting · Recording and responding to user requests · Coordinating changes to current IT systems with development teams · Maintaining technical system support documentation · Problem resolution, co-ordinating production issues between the development teams, business and other technical teams / vendorsRequirement: · 5+ years of Application Support experience in Financial Trading System.

· Prior experience managing, guiding & mentoring Junior Support Analysts · Experience managing IT & business stakeholder relationships · Experience of UNIX, shell scripting, Perl, Sybase, or other relevant RDBMS.

Sybase/T-SQL or Oracle PL/SQL or SQL Server · Exposure to OO languages useful but not imperative, ideally Java.

· Prior financial markets or financial services experience with experience in front, middle and back office financial systems
